GoBubble and BBC Morning Live Launch Exclusive World Cup Study

The team at GoBubble has shared the results of an exclusive study with BBC Morning Live into online abuse during the England Vs Wales game (played on 29th November).

Our Emotion AI tool uses artificial intelligence to detect offensive posts in real-time and hide them. From the BBC footage you can see that as the match goes on, the software picks up a steady stream of abusive posts, of which the most toxic are labeled as ‘red’ by the traffic light categorisation system.

England went on to win the fixture, but by the end of the game, from the 30,000 messages checked, more than 11% were red-labeled as abusive messages recorded by the software.

This exclusive study shows that GoBubble technology can provide a solution and stop people from being exposed to this abuse through the use of artificial intelligence.
