Welcome to GoBubble Family, GoBubble Community, and GoBubble Enterprise, which are products designed to reduce the receipt by you, your family, and your entity, of disfavored content online, particularly sent through various social media.
All three products are related and are designed to enhance your online experiences. Individuals can use our Services to mute disfavored content directed to them online and through various social media. Entities of all kinds, including not-for-profit organizations and corporations, can integrate the GoBubble Community or GoBubble Enterprise tools to enable content moderation decisions at the entity level for the benefit of their online communities. While GoBubble intends for these Services to improve and enhance your online experiences relative to your experiences of interacting with content sent to you or your accounts online without the use of our Services no product can fully prevent your receipt of content that you or your family may find disturbing, vile, hateful, abusive, or offensive. Quite simply, the volume of disfavored content online and the constantly evolving nature of that content ensures that despite our best efforts, at least some disfavored content may be received by you, your family, or your entity. We believe that muting or substantially depressing the volume of disfavored content is beneficial to you, your family, your entity, and society. While we will endeavor to mute all such content, as directed solely by you or by the entity that contracts with us for our Services, if you do not wish to be the recipient of any such content please do not use our Services and please do not go online.
We constantly try to improve our Services, so we may update this Agreement as we offer new and improved Services. We may modify this Agreement at any time, but we will do our best to bring this to your attention by posting a notice on the Services or notifying you by email or by some other means. If you don’t agree with the new Terms, you may reject them but unfortunately you will no longer be able to use the Services. Your use of the Services in any way following notification by GoBubble Family, GoBubble Community, or GoBubble Enterprise, constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions as modified. We may suspend or discontinue any part of the Services, or we may introduce new features, impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts or all of the Services at any time. We’ll provide you notice when we make a material change to the Services that would adversely affect you.
You represent and warrant to us that:
This Agreement is void where prohibited by law, and the right to access the Services is revoked in such jurisdictions.
We work hard to improve the GoBubble experience for you, so these Terms may change from time to time. We will update you when we make significant changes. Before continuing to use GoBubble Family, GoBubble Community, or GoBubble Enterprise, it will be important to review and agree to any changes.
The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) requires that online service providers notify parents of children in the United States and obtain their consent before they knowingly collect personally identifiable information online from children who are under 13. For more information on COPPA, please click here. We only collect personal information through the Services from a child under 13 where that student’s parent or guardian has provided us with Verifiable Parental Consent allowing us to collect and use that personally identifiable information.
If you are an entity, such as a school, school district, sports league, civic organization or member association, or any other entity that serves minor children residing in the United States younger than 13 years of age that wishes to use any of our Services, we will require that you obtain such Verifiable Parental Consent as an express condition of your use of our Services, via the terms described below. You must obtain this Verifiable Parental Consent for each such child younger than 13 years of age prior to their use of the Services and disclose that personal information to us.
If we learn we have collected personal information from a child younger than 13 other than pursuant to the above, or if we learn a child younger 13 has provided us personal information beyond what we request from him or her, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
Except as expressly set forth below, we do not knowingly collect or solicit personally identifiable information from a child under 13. GoBubble’s mechanisms and policies for compliance with COPPA meet or exceed the requirements of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation for the protection of the Personal Data of children.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires that Members of the European Union take special precautions to protect the personal data of children, especially those children younger than 16 years of age. The United Kingdom has agreed to continue to implement GDPR. GDPR makes clear that younger children lack the ability to grant consent for collection or processing of their personal data. The age at which children may grant consent is set by each EU member nation and by the United Kingdom and varies from country to country. GoBubble requires a parent or legal guardian to provide consent for the use of our Services for any child residing in any EU nation or the UK based on the relevant age requirement of the nation of residence of the relevant child.

Remember that communications with others in which you participated will remain available to those other users. All provisions of this Agreement which, by their nature, should survive termination, will survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
Be awesome to each other. We don’t like bullies and will remove people from GoBubble if we become aware of people trying to use it to upset others.
Report misbehavior, such as bullying. GoBubble makes it easy for you to report users if you want to and it will be flagged to our team to resolve the matter within 1 day. We won’t let the person know who reported them, ever. We promise. This report is anonymous and is there to help all of GoBubble’s users feel empowered to take care of themselves and others on GoBubble. We can take a series of corrective actions, which can include suspending the other user or removing them from the Services altogether.
Respect artists. If you aren’t the original singer of a piece of music, writer of a book, or creator of a piece of art, such as a photo or video, do not share that piece of art without getting the artist’s approval prior to sharing that art with others on GoBubble. (Please don’t copy someone else’s work or pretend it’s yours. Someone else will have worked very hard creating it and it’s their copyright.) We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you are an artist who believes that a GoBubble user has shared your copyrighted material without permission using our website or app, please contact us via email at: email@example.com
Think before you post. When you share something -- a comment, an emoji, a picture or a video -- on the Internet or through an app, including through GoBubble, that sharing is essentially permanent. While there are ways to delete some content or your account, once you have shared something with someone else, that person or group of people will always have a copy of what you shared with them in their GoBubble accounts. So, we always recommend you pause for a moment before you share because the Internet creates a permanent record. Do not post anything you might later regret posting.
Respect yourself. (Please don’t post pictures, films or messages that are rude, nasty or could upset someone else. If you do share inappropriate images we may report these. And, remember others may be able to review some of the content on GoBubble so do not say or post anything that you would later be embarrassed about).
If any provision of this Agreement is declared invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of this Agreement will remain in effect. GoBubble has the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time.
Informal Dispute Resolution. We like you. We really do like you. But, just in case we have a disagreement, we will work together to resolve that disagreement. We want to address your grievance, or ours, without resorting to a formal legal dispute. Before filing a claim against GoBubble, you and your parent or guardian agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We promise to try to work out any confusion or complaint amicably. If we cannot resolve our dispute within 30 days, we can proceed to a formal legal dispute.
Laws Governing Legal Disputes and Venue. The laws of the United Kingdom govern this set of Terms, as well as any dispute, claim, or controversy that may arise between you and GoBubble, despite claims to the contrary regarding conflict of laws provisions. Should a dispute need to be adjudicated between us, the only proper venue for such a dispute will be a court of law within the United Kingdom.
No Class Action or Multi-Party Lawsuits. If you have a dispute with GoBubble you may only work to resolve that on an individual basis. You or your parent or guardian, acting on your behalf or their own, may not bring a claim as a plaintiff or a class member in a class, consolidated, or representative action. Class arbitrations, class actions, private attorney general actions, and consolidations with other arbitrations are not permitted as a condition of you using our service whether for free or through purchase.

None of this information constitutes Personal Information. We also may provide to our partners aggregate information derived from automatically collected information about how our users, collectively, use our Services. Local storage is an industry-standard technology that allows a website or application to store information locally on your computer or mobile device. We use local storage to customize what we show you based on your past interactions with Gobubble.
GoBubble uses these technologies to deliver, measure, and improve our Services in various ways. These uses generally fall into one of the following categories:
For example, these technologies help authenticate your access to GoBubble and prevent unauthorized parties from accessing your account.
To remember information about your browser and your preferences.
For example, cookies may help us remember your preferred language or country that you are in. We can then provide you with GoBubble content in your preferred language without having to ask you each time you visit GoBubble. We can also customize content based on your country, such as disabling SMS, or to withhold certain content based on applicable local laws.
To help us improve and understand how people use our Services.
For example, cookies help us test different versions of our services to see which particular features or content users prefer or to share information about our services to you as you interact online across the internet. Your personal information may be used for the purposes specified in this Policy and, in particular, we may use your personal information for the following purposes:
We will retain your personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes we collected or processed it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any contractual, legal, accounting, reporting or taxation requirements. To calculate the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes in any other way, as well as applicable legal requirements.
GoBubble complies with all laws and regulations regarding the personal information of minors, including, but not limited to the United Kingdom’s Age Appropriate Design Code, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation, and the United States’ Children’s Online Privacy and Protection Act ("COPPA").
GoBubble complies with the Age Appropriate Design Code and the General Data Protection Regulation. If you are younger than 16 years of age before using GoBubble we must obtain the consent of your parent or guardian to collect, process, share, store, or use your personal data.
GoBubble strictly complies with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation. GDPR requires that GoBubble obtain the consent of a parent or guardian prior to the collection, processing, sharing, storing, or use of data of minors. Each country in the EU has determined the age of minors below which consent is required and GoBubble strictly complies with these requirements.
COPPA requires that online service providers obtain parental consent and provide notice before they knowingly collect personally identifiable information online from children who are younger than 13 years of age ("under-13 users"). GoBubble typically relies on a school, school district, club, association, organization, or corporation to obtain Verifiable Parental Consent to provide our services to under-13 users. Pursuant to COPPA, we may collect an under-13 user's name (first name and last initial), date of birth, email address and/or telephone number in order to operate and provide the Services, and we may collect the under-13 user's parent's (or legal guardian's) email address in order to provide notice to the child's parent or guardian that we may contact the under-13 Participant for the purpose of allowing access to and use of the Services. If GoBubble does not receive Verifiable Parental Consent within a reasonable time period, the under-13 account and his/her Personal Information will be deleted. If an under-13 Participant's account is inactive for at least twelve months, GoBubble's policy is to delete the Personal Information. If we learn we have collected Personal Information from an under-13 Participant other than pursuant to the above, or if we learn that an under-13 Participant has provided us Personal Information beyond what we request from him or her, we will delete that information as quickly as possible after we have identified it. If you believe that an under-13 Participant may have provided us Personal Information in violation of this paragraph, please contact us at email@example.com.
In order for an under-13 user to gain access to additional features or services, GoBubble may employ one or more methods approved by the Federal Trade Commission for verifying parental consent.
While COPPA requires GoBubble to follow these procedures for under-13 users in the United States, GoBubble employs the same process to obtain consent for all users under 13 years old.
Users may have the choice of associating their account with a Community or Enterprise through GoBubble, such as a school, team, sports league, association, group, or company). This may be required (for example) for employees by an employer and may be either required or strongly encouraged for other types of Organizers in order to use certain features of the Services. Other users may attend a school or school district that contracts with GoBubble for use of our Services, and this may automatically create an account for all the students, teachers, parents and relevant administrators of that class, school, or district and associate their accounts with the class, school, or district.
By associating your account with an Organization, you acknowledge and agree that an Organizer may be able to view your User Submissions (including your Personal Information and messaging content). In addition, Organizers may be able to make administrative changes to your account.
